Upgrading to Crestron Home 4.3 effected my AVLinkPro Setup

Last Updated 2 months ago

Crestron Home OS 4.3 uses Peer to Peer mode for it's panel to panel calling.

What modifications need to be done if you wish to switch panels to Peer to Peer Mode:
You can change the panels to peer to peer but nothing else should be changed. Changing this will allow Crestron Home native panel to panel calling to work.
Now to restore AVlinkPro to work again, you must change the sip channel mode from AUTH to IP based.
To do this you need to statically assign or set an IP reserve for all the panels so their IP addresses do not change. Once this is done then go into the AVLinkpro and change the channel settings.
First change the host and set it to the IP address of the matching panel

Then change insecure to port,invite.

Then go into PBX Control and hit SIP reload configuration now.

Now everything should work as before.

Please note that if you remove the Sipahoy Platform driver you will lose all access to features of Sipahoy including the opening of door, whole house paging or any other custom feature that was setup.
If you dont want the Sipahoy tile on all the panels but still want to use the quick actions, the best option is to find a panel in a room that is not used a lot and set the quick action to use that room to do the triggers.
Then you can take the app out of all the other panels with any affect to opening doors.
